Garza has monster final game...

Jack Sikmaesque drop back mid range jumper...seems pretty mobile...active...dunked...blocked...fought for rebounds...lots to look forward to.

It'll be like having Woody again, only hopefully Garza can jump, rebound, and make layups.

IMO, he plays a hell of a lot more aggressive than Woody did coming out of HS. He doesn't look like he is a great leaper but he is bad ass in the lane.

He seems to be pretty solid in the pick-and-roll. Seems to have a solid overall game and close to a BIG body, not like Pemsl coming in but pretty close. He'll fit right in the mix.

I like is aggression on that jump ball. Not timid. Look out BIG 10, Fran the man's building a powerhouse for the future.

Exactly what I took away from his tape. He plays like a big man is supposed to. I don't care if he can jump out of the gym or shoot 3s. Go up with two hands hard for rebounds and put backs. If he can hit 15 footers and have a soft touch around the rim he'd be a step up from what Woody ever was on offense.

Looks like he can do those things. Plus also dunk and block shots. Looks like an improved version of Woodbury with Jon Miller's eyebrows.

That's funny chit, there!

Dang is Iowa going to be a force in the paint for a few years! Both Nunge and Garza look impressive. Mix them in with Cook, Baer, and Pemsl Iowa is looking very strong in the post. Will Kreiner and Wagner find enough playing time?

You have to wonder if Fran & staff are going to redshirt 1 or both. Not that they aren't ready to play but just for the mere fact of finding minutes for them all. They could develop for a year and come in and be a real force. In addition, Cook may leave after his soph year so we could than be a plug-n-play situation. I don't recall Iowa having this many quality post players for years.

Equally impressive is how Fran's building his outside game at the exact same time. Kinda weird!

He looks pretty good. I like the fact that he plays with emotion and a little swagger to him. He has a body that can put on muscle and still be mobile. Along with the fact he shot 7 for 7 from the free throw line. That is huge for a post player.

I heard he cut weight and can jump better now. Anyone else hear that? Imagine if he is a Woody on defense with longer arms and better jumping, then can shoot on offense. Then imagine if Nunge is a poor man's Uthoff with more of a killer instinct. I'm really hoping Nunge can play the 3 and Weiscamp can play the 2.

I enjoyed watching Woodbury, but he had trouble offensively. Woodbury was pretty aggressive and Garza looks aggressive too. A guy can have all the talent in the world, but if he isn't aggressive it isn't worth as much. Garza and Nunge should be fun to watch. They both seem to be gifted offensively with a lot of length. Hopefully, Nunge has an aggressive personality.
