While recruiting could be going better, obviously, and we could have won a couple more games this year, the program is hardly a joke. The program in 1977 was a joke, if you want to start playing that game. We were 12-0 just one season ago, right? And we were 8-4 and beat two ranked teams going into the Bowl game, including, I believe, the #3 team in the country. If you look it up in the dictionary I am pretty sure there will not be a picture of us under the entry for "Joke."
Out of curiosity, do you think Bill Belicek just hands out coaching jobs for no reason? If you say yes you're either a liar or an idiot. Their TE unit was probably the best in the NFL when Brian was running it and they were doing very innovative things at that time. Even if Brian wasn't the one that came up with it, which may or may not be the case, don't you think he learned something while he was there? That is legitimate coaching experience, independent of the fact that he was Kirk's son.
I didn't listen to the podcast, I am simply responding to your comments. If you think that Brian's hiring as offense of Cordinator is laughable then maybe you should explain it. He might be Kirk' son but based on his experience in the coaching world and his pedigree the move is certainly plausible.
If you cant admit that, then maybe you're the joke.
