Pavia finishes 2nd in Heisman. He threw for over 3000 yard’s Gronowski threw for about 1/2 that. He ran for over 800 yards. More than Moulton who ran for like 740. Their Tight End wam the Mackey Award.
Parker really has his hands full. Anxious to see some of the younger players

True but we have reasons for hope. Mendoza did not do all that well against Iowa's defense, Parker had a solid game plan for him and I expect him to have a solid game plan for Pavia. Pavia also struggled against some of the better defenses in the SEC and none of them are rated as high as Iowa is defensively. Alabama and Missouri were the best defenses Pavia faced and he didn't do all that well in those games. Pavia didn't have to face Georgia, TAMU, or Oklahoma and he beefed up his stats significantly against defenses like Utah State, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Pavia a great player, no question, but I am optimistic Parker can come up with a game plan to contain him.

Hopefully the offense shows up, if the defense can hold Vandy under 20 points it would be a win for the defense but that means the offense will need to find a way to score more than 20 in order to win. Vandy has a good but not great defense, even Nebraska and Wisconsin gives up less yards per game than Vandy this season.

Both Chuck Long and Brad Banks finished second in the Heisman and both lost their subsequent bowl game as I recall.....so we got that going for us I guess!

Gonna be a tough one, but we came very close to beating Indiana

Second string QB is surrounded by Indy defenders and blindly tosses the ball into intense
coverage

It was first down with about 2 minutes left in the game

Now match that up with Pavia's performance against those defenses.
