Willies Tearing It Up at JUCO: Ferentz's Biggest Mistake To Date?

Maybe if people were man enough to not cry over someone else's opinion, Jon wouldn't feel the need to get rid of him. How tough is it to not open a thread started by someone you don't want to read?
the guy was a troll, nothing more.

There have been several people the last year who were convinced he was a troll. I never saw anything overtly out of line...but have been reading his posts...and I have never, not ever, in my 16 years, seen someone stay as negative as he has on nearly every post as long as he has. Done with it.

I used to think I was decent in the sales arena, decent in influence, could turn people's heads my way..............i guess sometimes you have to think 'long term' and not get bogged down in the here and now! ;) congratulations my friend, you just instilled some confidence in myself! (jd know of what i am talking of......)

You've read my posts, right?

from the interview with the coach when they couldn't reach willies:
Q: What's he like as a person?
A: Real good kid. We joke around here, we call him the mercenary. He's like a hired hit man. He's coming in here to win a ring and he's here to graduate and go to big-time ball. He's all business.

Q: What led him to Trinity Valley?
A: He shot us an email [in November] just saying, 'Hey, coach, here's what I'm interested in, here's where I'm at.' We were 12-0 last year, we won 21 straight, we led the country in total offense. I think he looks at that and says, 'You know what? They broke the record for total offense.' We've always been top 10 -- in my eight seasons, in seven of those eight years.I think that was it. He sent us an email saying, 'I'm looking at leaving. it was either y'all or Iowa Western, but I'd like to go where it's warmer.'
Sounds like Willies wanted to win about as much as play in a successful offense. Maybe its just a change of scenery, or getting away from other issues possibly including but not limited to Ferentz.

Someone always has to be the most negative one. If you always get rid of that guy you will end up with one person left. Things would get pretty boring around here for Hawknick.

IowaLaw isn't a fun one to read at all, he was a one trick Pony and not creative at all.

I've never once read a post from iowalaw where I didn't at least see his point of view, whether I agreed with it or not. I've read quite a few from a certain overly positive poster where he slipped up and gave himself away beyond any doubt. If iowalaw was really a troll, I would say he was pretty darn creative.

Possibly true, but the rule is "no repetitive negative posting" and I don't recall a single post from iowalaw that wasnt. While a certain other poster is undoubtedly alt and obviously not for real, the is no rule against "repetitive overly delusionally positive posting", even if it's all for shtick and reaction.

Well yea he's definitely guilty of breaking that rule. When I start my own message board (which will be never) I'll ban people who stir the pot for reaction but welcome people's legit opinions reguardless of how overly positive or negative they are. I will keep the no ripping on players rule though.

I will also come up with some feature for the people with no self control where you can ignore any poster you want.

That doesn't surprise me. I mean you think that bringing up Willies YET AGAIN is new and creative.

No that doesn't make him creative. It means that situation really irks him and he likes to vent about it. I've brought up the Brad Banks situation over and over on here. Maybe that's why I'm sticking up for him now. Both come from the "Ferentz doesn't play the best players" arguement. All I know are my own motives when I keep bringing it up and it has nothing to do with trolling. So that makes me give him the benefit of doubt. The thing I hate most is coming on here, clicking the "what's new" button, and seeing no new posts.

Yeah, I'm thinking about starting an account on a Boston College board and having every single post be totally ragging on coach Steve Addazio.
