If Uthoff adds some strength over the next couple years... will we start to hear LBJ comparisons???
First off everyone knows who Uthoff is but who in the hell is Michael Jordon????????

Michael Jordan is an old guy that use to play basketball. He sells underwear now. He was pretty good, but I always though Magic Johnson was better.
You know, I'm not sure all these player comparisons are fair. Realistically, if Jesus were here today, and he played basketball, his name would be Jarrod Uthoff.Kevin Garnett.
Michael Jordan was better at his postion. Magic Johnson was more versatile.Michael Jordan is an old guy that use to play basketball. He sells underwear now. He was pretty good, but I always though Magic Johnson was better.
He makes a valid point regardless of whether people want to hear if.
I expect JU to be quite good THIS season but the hyperbole surrounding his game might be slightly much at this point. He puts up 20 on Kansas? Might be going to NBA
MJ is the best player to ever play the game. Period. Could he be passed up? Yes, but as of this moment, he is number one, with Jarrod Uthoff being a very close second.Michael Jordan was better at his postion. Magic Johnson was more versatile.
Just my 2¢ .. ..
GO HAWKS!!!

I didn't intend to state that he was as good as Kevin Garnett. Just more similar to KG than Keith Van Horn (not at all), Andre Kirelenko (I'll give you that one) or Larry Bird (what was that dude thinking?).
Most similar NBA players to current Hawkeyes (skill level adjusted, obviously):
Mike Gesell - Brandon Jennings
Aaron White - Lamar Odom
Jarrod Uthoff - Kevin Garnett/Gordon Hayward
Melsahn Basabe - Antonio Davis
Peter Jok - Luol Deng (coincidence, I swear!)
Anthony Clemmons - Mike Conley, Jr.
Adam Woodbury - Robin Lopez
Zach McCabe - Markief Morris
How is Uthoff not similar to KVH? They have very similar games, with Van Horn obviously being a rich man's version of Jarrod so far.
Keith Van Horn was a three point shooter who wouldn't play interior defense. Uthoff has a strong intermediate game and likes to block shots and grab boards. Like I said, Jarrod's game is more similar to KG.
Van Horn was not just a three point shooter, although he was very good at it. He got the free throw line about 6 times per game for his career, guys who just shoot 3's don't get to the free throw line that often. He also averaged over 8 rebounds a game every year in college, and 9.5 as a senior and averaged over a block a game. Maybe you're referring to Van Horn's NBA career after he had battled injuries, but in college he was certainly much, much more than a 3 point shooter.
