KF can't get this team to play a full 60 minutes - we need some fire

how so?!
the guy ankle seems to be defending Ferentz still, like he's doing a good job
I hope I'm not breaking news, but Coach Ferentz is not getting it done, not at all

When does that one guys random formula say we're going to be good again?

iowa does not have the overall talent and depth now as during the periods of success of iowa fb under KF. Add to that, a new QB, and you get what you got. Our DL isn't very good right now. Look at when Iowa has been good, the DL has been great. not even close right now. Obviously, same can be said about our OL, but I think the OL is in much better shape than the DL.

Too many mistakes and missed opportunities v. a good team today with the kind of team we are.

I want to win more. This isn't possible with this coaching regime.

I am with ya, but I do think they can win with this staff. I mean, the offense did look pretty good today for a half and had over 200 yards passing and 200 yards rushing. I am not ready to throw in the towel yet. I think they win at least three straight from here. After that, I think they win two big ten games. In 2014, they win at minimum 7 games.

Kurt gotta go. He's lost whatever touch he had. It's run it's course. It's stale and rotting and it ain't gonna get fresh again.

I suggest y'all join me in watching them as a comic venture.

Are you drunk? You know he ain't going no where til at least after 2014.

You may be correct, God I hope not, but to avoid the fact of losing so similarly would be remiss. I simply have to focus on the positives I saw. Make no mistake, there are times in the game I scream for clarity on why oh why??? I still believe the 3 Very avoidable turnovers are the difference in a 10+ point win and this painful loss.

Then you forget the 7 points N Illinois handed us. It goes both ways. Have to set kids up for success. Not giving a guy a snap and then expecting him to carry the load is inexcusable. We should have run the ball 50 times today.

and people would have then been complaining about that, but i agree.

I'm stone cold sober. I know we stuck with Failrentz. That's why I'm treating it as comedy. It's funny in a pathetic, program destroying kind of way.

Also Barta is an @$$ kissing patsy so he won't confront Kurt. At all.

He has to have the big donor's approval before he can.

This was a very disappointing loss. Iowa had one really good quarter of football and lost to a very good team by 3 points.

I have always backed KF even though I am very quizzical about some of his decisions.

But I am seeing a drastic pattern of the team not being ready to take the field sky high and to dominate.

Hawks made a lot of mistakes and some mental ones in the first qtr and fell behind in a pattern that has been too common lately. Then we play well but then get out coached and out executed in the second half. I am starting to think something systemic is really lacking.

2008-most of 2010 was the last time we had a lot of swagger and could control games from the start.

It's simple:

Lack of talent + poor coaching = Iowa Football

and people would have then been complaining about that, but i agree.

And just so we're clear, I thought the 3rd and 1 call was ballsy as hell and loved it. Powell and Ruddock aren't quite there from a chemistry standpoint. Under threw him the first time and Powell held up on that last one. Of course going for it on 4th and 1 would've been blasphemous to Kirk in that spot. In my opinion, you can't call that on 3rd and 1 without knowing if you miss, you'll go for it.
