Whats the worst that can happen on a offensive play? A pick six? So maybe if Iowa threw a pick six on everyone of their offensive plays last year then maybe you could say that was literally the worst.

Haha, I can see it right now. Kinnick is jacked, the place is rocking and Jordan Lynch goes off tackle on a simple qb draw for 30 and everyone sits down like "oh **** here we go again". I dont think that will happen against NIU, I think Iowa beats them. But everyone knows what Im talking about having the air sucked out of Kinnick in a dash.
You mean where he says that he thinks they will play better this year? Yeah, that takes gallons of Kool-Aid to imagine.

This thread is pumping me up for the season .
Does anyone have any connections to Roth, Yanda, or Sanders? Get those 3 guys to come into the locker room before game one. Tell the players what it means to be a Hawkeye and that there's no reason you shouldn't go out there and knock everyone of those little Huskies flat on their freakin' a$$. It absolutely drove me crazy last year that the Hawks didn't seem to have any players who played with that edge... that attacking mentality that you aren't gonna come into Kinnick and push anybody around. If you're gonna beat us you're gonna have to go right through us and it's going to be a dogfight. That player who's a lightning rod for the other players around him. Someone who jolts electricity into the stadium and into their teammates. Who is THAT guy gonna be?
The better teams in Ferentz's era have always had someone like that and I feel like it's been missing since Angerer and Clayborn left. The Hawks have enough talent to be competitive in almost every game on their schedule. It's the little things that make the difference between going home with a loss or taking the win. Energy and momentum can play a huge role in that. A football field isn't a place to be a nice guy, and for some reason that's what I felt like we had last year. A bunch of guys with solid talent, but they played too damn nice.
Who can fill that void this year? Brandon Scherff? LTP? Carl Davis? D-Cooper? Any of the three linebackers? Or maybe it's a player with less experience like Nico Law, Faith, Ott, or Jaleel. I don't know but I really hope someone emerges into that role.

Go back and count how many times I say opinion. Anyhow when I talk about KF being a bad gameday coach I have plenty examples of that I know that it still doesnt make it fact. People that think its a fact that the QB play cant get any worse have nothing to base that off.
We have seen KF be an awful gameday coach many times we have yet to see any of the Iowa QBs play in a game. We have yet to see Greg Davis put together a good gameplan. I agree with the OP and also have a feeling that things will be better this year.

I like your style. Shouldn't have left him out of the options. Usually this kind of player is on the defensive side of the ball, but Robert Gallery and Shonn Greene beg to differ.
