What I saw from Clemmons this year was alot of frehman mistakes imo. He is a step quicker and more athletic than Gesell. You could see this when he takes the ball to the hoop where he usually has an easier time getting by the initial defender. Where Clemmons has to make the adjustment is after the first burst he needs to stay under control and make better decisions. He has shown an ability to distribute the basketball all season based on his 3 assists per game with backup minutes. That is impressive for a true freshman. Add another offseason of practice with coaches, a trip to europe to develop even more chemistry with his teammates and the ptl, I really think he will be a critical part of our success next year. I look for him and Gesell to be go to guys as this team develops. His handles will keep improving along with his bball IQ as do nearly all freshmen going into their sophomore seasons. People tend to focus to much on the mistakes he made and not enough on the positives he brought to the floor.
You need to post more often, good stuff!
