If he has turf toe it takes 2 to 3 weeks to heal and that is with rest.
Uhh no. Oglesby is filling that role just fine, thank you. Eerily similar to the criticism Gatens took as a younger player.
And if Willis Reed f'ed the game up, no one would say "Oh well, he was hurt. Can't criticize him for trying".
You can criticize Marble for his turnover, and other similar plays. But to make a blanket statement about him as a player (he's not a go-to guy), based on his performance while playing hurt, is not fair to him.
If Fran and Marble both say he is fine physically, then I will believe he is fine physically. He probably just got his feelings hurt for getting yelled at in the previous game. He has a tendency to not be mentally in the games all the time. Anyway, basketball is a team game. Maybe he will transfer to Iowa state, sit out next year, and then still have a year to play before turning pro.
Exactly when did he get hurt?
If he's out there playing 30 minutes a game, I think any criticism is fair. If he's too hurt to play, he shouldn't be playing. If he's too hurt to be effective, he shouldn't be playing. However, they claim he's 100%, he's playing top minutes on the roster, therefore, I think any criticism is valid.
No, still Marble. 15.8 PPG and 2116 career.Just for the record, no one can refer to Marble as Iowa's leading scorer.
Right now that is White at 13.9 PPG.
Carry on.

He's not 100% and he's playing hurt. I have no doubt about it. I think they are just not saying that now for competitive disadvantage reasons, but the cat is out of the bag and he doesn't pass the eye test.

How can there be a competitive disadvantage?
Everyone saw Devyn on Sunday - they know he's not 100%. Yet Fran and Devyn in both interviews say he's healthy and it's an "out of sync" deal.
I could see if they were trying to use him as a decoy or do something where no one had seen him, but to continue to say he's not hurt make zero sense to me if he isn't.
I just do not get it.
This year, he's averaging 9.6 points per game in the BoneG. That is not a go to player.
