The questioin people have is whether ferentz will play any of the TRUE freshman THIS YEAR. Since they are true freshman they can not be redshirt freshman obviously lol.

Actually 3 of those guys were not ready to play as true freshmen, since 3 of those guys redshirted. Is this thread really that difficult to follow?

3 of the guys mentioned did not play as true freshman, hence they were not ready to play, which is similar to Fleming and Smith this year. They just are not ready to play B1G football.

The backup guy is always the most popular. Obviously the young guys haven't shown enough in practice to warrant playing time on Saturdays. Since I am not a coach and since I don't attend practice, I will assume the coaches know what they are doing. That being said, I think we are all frustrated what the team has (not) shown in two games. Not ready to call the season a wash but I really have been having consistent flashbacks to 1999 ... where the talent on the field just does not seem to be there. Honestly have not felt this way since 1999 ... Even the years where we were down we still showed more on offense. It's a head scratcher ...
