A few.
Seriously though. They don't give up 100 rushing very easy. Unless you have a dominant passing attack, and even if you do, you about have to get 100 rushing just to keep the chains moving at certain times.
So unless it's a fluke game, with video game passing numbers or like was said we don't turn the ball over and they do, you have to figure out how to run on them.
Well he got snubbed by Wisconsin.
They have new ends.
Our tackles are older now.
Just curious what people think it will take in the run game to get the w.
Tough to say whether or not Young got snubbed by Wisconsin. There could be multiple reasons why he went to Iowa. One was AJ Taylor was at the top of our recruiting board hard. Another was Chris James was transferring from Pitt to UW with multiple years of eligibility left. Could also be a academic issue although I haven't heard this. It might also be Young liked Iowa and desired to get away from the Madison area.
As for your chances to run on the Badgers this year, my guess is that IF your pass game has modest success, and it could, you might have some success running the ball. It won't necessarily be because of our new DEs. One of which was very good last year and saw more and more PT as the season unfolded. Our NT and our 4 LBs tend to influence our rush D success the most. We will be playing two new starters at OLB although one of those too performed extremely well throughout the season. The other we've had high hopes for for some time but missed all of last season with a foot injury.
A nearly 2K yard classic WI RB back w his entire O-line and a 3rd year starting QB vs a LB trio that has hardly played a meaningful snap on D...yikes. That’s the mismatch that is really concerning.
