You serious Jon?

Speed???? I think you are confusing his long stride for speed.

Im taking this directly from the NFL combine results:

McNutt was a starter for the better part of the last three years at Iowa and a physical presence on the outside. He is a strong player who catches the ball well and can run through arm tackles once he gets the ball. McNutt has the size to excel at the next level and also has displayed the explosion and speed to project him to be a factor. He plays a bit hesitant at times when blocking in run support and running through traffic.

McNutt ran a 4.54 40 at the combine. Not earth shattering speed but for a WR that went to Iowa and with his size I'd consider that really good. For a comparable, in 2011 only 11 of 46 WR's at the combine ran sub 4.5. DJK ran a 4.51.

Jon has been trolling the fanbase for years. Its hilarious to see you idiots eat it up.

It's a troll that I would have Iowa's two best statistical receivers in history as my starting two WR's? OK.

I loved Dwight. He was the greatest return man I have ever seen at Iowa and one of the best in B1G history. As a receiver, he was good, but I'd take DJK and McNutt over him as a receiver.

This is the instance where trolling = doesn't agree with me or validate my opinions

DJK lost a lot of playing time in the doghouse. Tim Dwight didnt play receiver in high school nor did mcnutt..

None of those three played WR in HS. Which is kind of funny, three of the best Iowa receivers in history didn't play the position in HS, which speaks to how this position has been the worst recruited of any in my lifetime watching Iowa.

Fair enough......

I find it hard to believe that Matt Sherman is still taking so much heat. Sure he had big shoes to fill following all the Iowa greats of the 80s, but he was not as bad as people make him out to be. I remember a lot of people wanted Ryan Driscoll to start in his place, and all though they were both skilled players I just did not see it the same way. As a freshman Sherman came off an injury to put Iowa one bad 2 point conversion call away from a bowl game. Fry should have put him in the Purdue game much sooner. He lead Iowa to successful seasons in 95 and 96. As a senior I believe that Iowa would have had a 9-2 regular season if he had stayed healthy.

Sherman got crushed in '97, but given the expectations of that '97 team, if that is 2015 it would have been 10 times worse. As bad as it got midway through the '97 season, try imagining what it would have been like with social media around.

Both the bad-ger and mildcat games were very close with Rainers and Mullen playing before they should have been because Sherman was injured. Having an experienced senior QB such as Sherman in there could have turned those games. Too bad Driscoll had already graduated or he could have filled in admirably. I don't think Matt Sherman played injured in the Sun Bowl too, plus he must have missed a lot of practice.
