Why do you feel better blaming players? I would rather blame a guy that does lousy at a job he gets paid to do than blame a player for a mistake he made. The players on both teams are doing everything they can to make plays to win the game. To say that one team needs to make more plays than the other to "take the game out of the officials hands" is a joke.
Players and coaches should never discuss the officials. Instead they should concentrate on things they can do to improve. But I don't see how a fan can come on a message board and chastise other fans for discussing an aspect of the game that always plays a major part in the outcome. Refs are not perfect. Unfortunately they're far from it. Of course they are going to blow a call late in the game from time to time or make more 50/50 calls in favor of one team. When these things happen they change the outcome of the game. And when it happens it deserves to be discussed on a message board.
