Yesterday's loss was bad....

But it's one that I'm ok with. I think there were some adjustments that should have been made, like wadley/canzeri/ and yes even more Bullock earlier in the game, CJB way earlier than garbage time, but overall it just felt like Minnesota was the better team, and they played better in every aspect of the game. It ducks because in theory, this season should have been epic... but that's why they actually play the games instead of just going off what should happen, right?

I hope what this does is embarrasses the team, and for the remainder of the season they play with a chip on their shoulder.

That can happen, or the alternative is they can tuck their tails and end the season with 4 straight bad losses.

I understand the post, but losing to Iowa State should have solved the embarrassment card for the remainder of the season and the reminder at Maryland should have certainly done the trick for them to play with a chip on their shoulder. Yesterday was something altogether different. That was a bully kicking sand in our face and feeling up our girlfriends right in front of us...and we did nothing to respond except ask them if they wanted screw our sisters.

Yep that's the way I saw it too

The 3 turnovers, bad field position off muffed kick returns, and the blocked-short punt really hurt.

But once again we saw a probably scripted offense have a nice opening drive and then WHAM they just get shut down by a quicker, stronger defense.

If the hawks could just maintain control of the ball and move it and score once in a while the first half might have been 21-17 Minny and you have a game.

The Maryland game was different as the hawks could of and should have just kept pounding at their undersized defense but Minny just looked stronger that us.

How can you be ok with Minn. putting up 50 points on us? A true KF apologist!

Minny was obviously the better team. No way in hell were they 5 touchdowns better, and that is what is unacceptable. The team quit, the coaches quit, and we got owned at every position after the 10 minute mark in the first quarter.

As soon as Jake threw that first int, it was over....back to the phone booth offense. Combine that with getting beat on the lines...embarrassing.

This game is on the players more than the coaching staff. They laid down.

As much as I am fed up with this coaching staff, you are correct, the players laid down and rolled over for minny. If you are getting punched in the mouth, the least you can do is fight back. The coaches can't do that for you.

I'm not OK with losses like this (or Iowa State). It's too far into the Ferentz era to have these things happen. It's embarrassing and shows the program isn't in a good place.

Before the Northwestern game I predicted the team would play with a chip on their shoulders. Thinking that Kirk was feeling heat from the Maryland debacle, he would open up the offense to give Jake a chance to shine, so that he can justify keeping CJ on the bench and show fans he (Kirk) knows best and Jake will be the QB going forward. And that is what happened.

I also said things would then revert back to "normal" the following week. The Hawks not only put the car in reverse....they stepped on the gas pedal.

Look for Kirk to once again ramp things up this week (before going back to the same old-same old). Unfortunately, it may be too late.

I disagree. Minny was game 1 of a 4 game championship run. The game plan allowed for an ambush and that is exactly what we got. This staff is so unimaginative that they handcuffed the players. Did the players play well? No, they did not. But they, above all, had seen that movie too. Do you think they believed personnel and play changes would have been nice to have? Perhaps they saw that adjustments were needed, but knew none would be forthcoming. Our staff did not have the players ready because the game plan was not sufficient to compete with what Minny was doing and there were no adjustments made when it was obvious they were needed.
