Yahoo Sports says BF to Texans

Yeah I agree. If he was going to take the job, he would of done it weeks ago. He also wouldn't of went on the road trying to recruit last week. Very glad he's staying at Iowa.

I'm happy as hell he's staying, but I disagree with your statement. Many college position coaches and coordinators often wait until after signing day in early Feb to take an NFL job in order to not disrupt or cause recruits to leave. KOK did it. Norm did it. Ron Aiken did it. The list goes on and on.

Yeah, that's a fair point. It just seemed to me that this was being used for a pay raise for Brian after it was out there for a few weeks.

Just let me know when the its final. Then I'll read the news reports. Just don't understand keeping the pulse of rumors on twitter.

You and me both NC... when did journalism turn into the high school lunch room

ps. Back in my day..........

At least you are not citing sources for this rumor. KF and BF cannot win. In some Iowa fans eyes, BF will always be the beneficiary of nepotism, and then someone puts out feelers, like Bill O'Brien, who coached with Brian at NE, and immediately, BF is using the pros to make more money at Iowa.

These same fans did not think BF was qualified to be o-line coach at Iowa, but when a pro team is interested, he is now fishing for more money. I guess BF should just go away and never return, and those fans will be pleased.

No sources, just my opinion. I never understood the people saying BF only got the job cause of his dad. BF wanted to coach at Iowa and he was hired because he was qualified. Why would Belichek employ a guy to coach their top offensive weapons just because his dad used to be on his staff? If I could leverage a pay increase with my employer I'd do it in a heartbeat. Also, those same people who call out "nepotism" won't hesitate to tell people how good of an OL Iowa has though:rolleyes:

I hope he decides to stay but if he don't on to the next man up. Iowa has always been known for producing.good Olineman . It shouldn't be hard to get a good coach you would think. What does everybody else think?
