Some people won't appreciate the job Ferentz has done until after he's gone. I hope whoever does follow Ferentz can find a way to keep Iowa competitive, a few bad moves and Iowa could quickly go back to being an after thought like it was before Fry got here.

I think most everyone appreciates the job KFz has done. The criticism is a byproduct of how long he's been here. The saying "familiarity breeds contempt" has some truth to it.

I think the probable senerio is KF told Beth this will probably be it. Explains why no announcement or fair well tour. Also explain why Iowa reached out to said coach or coaches to gauge interest in a possible opening. The key words here are probably and possible. Will Iowa fire KF, no way. Could he change his mind and nothing changes, likely.
