Wow, 28-9 Hawks clobber Minnesota

Dennis will get Ness at the big tens. I hate seeing Ness win, he seems to need to celebrate everything he does. He needs so get beat and get a nice wake-up call.

Dennis struggled in the 1st period and then wrestled fairly well. I think he has a decent chance if they wrestle at Big Ten's and/or Nationals in a neutral environment.

McDonough, Marion and M* were very impressive tonight. Nice win for the Hawks.

Why was Ness name Most Outstanding Wrestler? Was it to make the Minny fans feel good about something?

If I remember correctly the MOW was sponsored by J Robinson wrestling camps...that might have something to do with it. Just a hunch.

Did anyone else catch when Morningstar said something along the lines of sometimes you have to go out and dominate if the team needs it? He kind of caught himself and then said...if you can.

I guarantee you'll never hear Metcalf say he'll go out there and dominate if the team needs it.

Ness won the takedown of the night, and yes it was sponsored by J's camps.

Other than the HWT match, all of Iowa's wins were quite impressive. McDonnough is so much fun to watch. He buys into the lifestyle already. Marion is just crazy aggression...that can get him into trouble, but he is fun to watch. Metcalf was ticked off when they awarded him that stalling point when he was up 14 and looking for a way to get the MN wrestler to his back...love that.

Jaybo has wrestled so well this year...as Dan said, he has always been a good mat wrestler, this year he has kicked it up a notch.

Metcalf was a little irked at the ref but outside of some goofy counts on back points he did well....I like the quick stall calls and I hope we see the same in Omaha

That was the quietest 7,000 fans in the history of sports. I had a blast but outside of the Iowa fans cheering at times, it was dead from the start. McDonnugh just took the air right out of Williams arena!

Agreed, it was crazy quiet for that many fans. During the Hwt. overtime, the announcer had to tell the gopher fans to stand up and start cheering for their wrestler!!!
