Would Fran pay $200K for a commitment?

You don't pay cash.

You find a donor to make a donation to a non-profit boys & girls club which happens to sponsor an AAU basketball team and employ family members or handlers of the athlete.

Then, not only is it sleazy and borderline legal by NCAA standards...it's tax deductible!

Sweet! I'm always looking for ways to take another tax deduction!

I used to like Calipari, but he is a joke. What is the NCAA going to do to Kentucky when their graduation rate is zero? Oh wait, the NCAA is too worried about expansion and making more money to care. All Coach Cal does is get programs on probation, Kentucky will be no different.

What is amazing is that 6 months ago no one had heard of Davis. He just exploded on the scene this spring and those around him quickly figued out who plays the game...the money game. Coach Cal will find a way. If the kid leaves after one year, bad investment, probably.

Calipari is not a good coach.

He messed up on a crutial time out in the title game a few years back.

It seems like cheaters win in big time college sports, and it goes way back.

I don't buy the report for a second, Coach Cal never likes to spend more than 50k for a commitment. Ask Derrick Rose's family.....
