I'm fine with TX joining the B1G, as long as they have to leave the LHN behind. I don't want one school having their own network. B10 Network or nothing.
It would completely depend on what happens with the other teams. If OU, OSU, UT, KU, all leave, there just isn't that much meat left on the bone. They would definitely command less eyeballs and wouldn't be power 5, but would be somewhere around AAC level. Depending on what their contracts look like, they could grab teams like BYU, Cincy, UConn, and Houston to replace them.

Good point, something would have to get worked out with that. The main attraction of Texas is the ton of TV sets they would bring to the BTN.
And the bags of money they bring from an academic/research perspective.
I just feel that maybe texas would be a pain in the butt. It's always all about them and I just think they would bring a bad vibe. Just my opinion. Why? They are a good fit both athletically and academically.
This looks good but do you really think the SEC would take OSU? I can see SEC taking OU but I think they would want to expand their midwest footprint if they were to take a 2nd one.
Even if this happened I think there would be enough decent football programs to keep the B12 alive or for another conference to reemerge, the remaining teams you listed would make a respectable football conference. Add in BYU, Houston, and a couple of others and maybe they could keep a power 5 status? The B12 losing Texas would be a devastating blow.
Feels like Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will eventually jump to the SEC. (16 teams)
Texas, Baylor, TCU and Texas Tech to the Pac 12. (16 teams)
K-State, Kansas, Iowa State and West Virginia to the AAC, at best.
That would make sense now that Clowns are a blue blood in bball
