That player is Callie Levin, who led Solon to a state title a year ago and was named the State of Iowa High School Player of the Year. She was never given a "star" ranking due to not playing in certain off-season leagues and tournaments, but she is a very talented, high-energy player. Tonight, she had 3 assists in a handful of minutes and would have had 4 but for a blown layup by the recipient of her perfect pass.We got a great preview what the team will look like next year with the 5 freshman playing major minutes together.
I thought I had watched enough games this year to know most of the olayers, but I honestly did not know there was a 5th freshman. She kinda looks like Alfouter from the back with similar body type and ponytail. But when she turned around and I saw her face and saw that she was #32 and not #3, I was like, who is that.
The Hawks are gonna be fine from here on, as long as they don't run into a team that presses.
That 1st quarter was a thing of beauty: 25-9. Dang.

Callie volunteered to play on the men's scout team against the first team in practice which was unusual, but was appreciated by the coaching staff. My uneducated guess is #32 will play a lot of minutes next season and the rest of her career.
