Worst feeling on this forum for a 7-2 team; beat Minny, Illini, and Nebby like last year

I think we can win out. I would give us above .500 odds. Nebraska is the game I am most afraid of, but hopefully, their spirits are broken by then given Frost's imminent beheading.

I think Nebraska is the best shot for Wisky to lose. Nebbie has a bye this week. They have a very good defense that should hold Wisky in check. Their offense has a better shot at moving the ball because of Martinez. No team in the world is more due for some luck than these hapless Cornshuckers.

If we do win out, and so does Wisky, and Wisky loses to OSU, and OSU makes the playoffs, could we make the Rose Bowl??????

I don't think it has anything to do with lucky. Nebby lacks discipline from the staff down to the players. IMO if the game is close and you take advantage of their miscues and opportunities Nebby will continue to find a way to lose. They're their own worst enemy.

I'd think Wiscy losing to OSU in that scenario guarantees them a Rose Bowl birth. I could be wrong I just don't see how we'd get the nod if Wiscy wins the tiebreaker.

But if we win out and they win out and they lose to OSU, Wisky would have two more overall losses than Iowa and Iowa would be higher ranked. Plus, Wisky has been to Pasadena a bunch. We deserve it more!! (if we win out)

From a football fans perspective this makes a lot of sense. Less loses, higher rank. Iowa fans travel better and have deeper wallets. Of course by now the outback bowl may consider naming their stadium Kinnick South.

You're not wrong. In a year where the Rose Bowl isn't a CFP game, it's always going to be the loser of the B1G CCG. And it should be.

Well it wont be the loser of the Big 10 Champ game that always goes to the rose bowl when the rose bowl is not a CFP game site IF the winner of the Big 10 Champ game doesnt make the CFP.

A not so stellar Big 10 champ with 2-3 losses would miss the CFP and go to the Rose.
