It was only one of how many camps that players were named the best at the camp?

I looked at last years MCD AA game roster and there were only like 4 centers on both roster's combined. I think Zeller was actually listed as a PF.

Woodbury was ranked what the 7th best center in his class? That is really, really good but probably just missed the cut.

Good motivation for him!

I think there is another HS all star game that is played a Madison Square Garden. I thought it was some Nike based All Star Game. Maybe Woodbury makes that, especially since he was the MVP of the Nike camp.

Still nice to have a recruit worthy of being considered for either!

White is having a nice freshman season but acting like he is a future All American is a little premature. Look at White's home state alone where OSU has 4 highly rated freshman and 2 McDonalds AA's who are sitting the bench this year waiting. He wouldn't be getting 30 mpg on any of the top teams in the country. He will be a good one before he is done, but like most freshman he just needs to increase his strength and work on his game.

This. White is good, but he's not better than a lot of the guys who were ranked ahead of him. Those kids go to the elite schools, where unless you're a one-and-done caliber player, you won't put up gaudy stats because you aren't needed to.

And White isn't even putting up gaudy stats with a sub par hawks squad. He is having a very good year...but to say AA? Not even close...
 


Last five Iowa McDonalds AA's?

Lafrentz,Hinrich,Collison,Barnes,Paige....all will play for Roy Williams. Iowa...the personal farm system for Roy Williams......ouch.
 


Woodbury got the award at the NBA Top 100 camp, and is the 1st player with that award to not make the McD AA game, but there were a few noteable players that didn't make it, Tarczewiski was left out and was rated #5 overall and #2 center, so i am not that disappointed
