Woodbury gets schooled

Having actually seen both players (old enough to have season tickets for the Jepsen years) play several times, I would say that is better than what you are basing your opinion on.
So you honestly think that at the same age they are comparable basketball wise?
No, I think that woodbury will be a solid contributor by the time he is a senior and not a dominating center like everybody else seems to be saying.

Having also had tickets for the Jepsen years, I can honestly say Adam is light years ahead at the same age. One thing about Les though is that he worked hard and kept learning the game. In the end he earned a ticket to the big show.

If Adam has Jepsen' s grit and determination he will be special. Fortunately Adam will not have to show up on the stat sheet much these first few years in order to make a tremendous contribution. He just needs to be a presence and take pressure off guys like White, McCabe and Besabe down low.

Outside of Chuck Norris...it can't be done.
Gary Busey is ready for a rematch! :)

Back to our originally scheduled topic: could the PTL officiating have had anything to do with Adam's troubles in his first game? Foul trouble was the first thing Cole mentioned in assessing Adam's performance. I realize the PTL utilizes real officials but they are not B1G or even D1 officials, are they? Conference officials are going to call the game differently and perhaps allow more contact and more bumping than officials who don't work at the D1 level.

Duff is the only one who could correctly answer this. And if he didnt attend the PTL on Tuesday then we are screwed.

Doubt it. My guess is that he went against a grown-*** man for the first time in his life and learned a lesson.

Glad he's learning it in June instead of December.

I just watched the highlight video on YOUTUBE. I know it was just highlights but I do not remember a kid of his size that is that coordinated as a freshman. Everyone is talking about his interior passing ability. I think that is one of the hardest things to teach. He will learn how to play defense, and the effort he will need to put out on the defensive end. I do not think he got schooled. I think he is going to contribute right away. He appears to have excellent touch, you can not teach that either. He will be just fine. I am super excited about him. Going to be a great ride.

For few minutes after i read ghost`s comments , i`m looking behind his back to see herby coming down here and shoot his comments down. I guess not....... I thought it was comical. It should be on Saturday night live........

This analysis I must agree with.....

:)

Thank you sir. I forgot to add Mel will be back in a big way this year with Adams interior passing ability. I think Mel really missed Jared last year. Adam will free him up dramatically. And I think I disagree with Adam not getting doubled in the block this year. If he gets the ball low enough defenders will have to help. It may not translate to baskets, but I think it will translate to assists. My predication is 5 points, 3 assists, 4 rebounds this year in 15-18 minutes a game.
