With this talent and O'Keefe back the sky is the limit

I think this offense will be one of the best Iowa has ever had. There are headwinds, namely Kurt and his desire to keep games too close for comfort. Another headwind is the awful system that Davis ran that will have to be unlearned. Brian may be the Offensive Coordinator by title, but this offense will be run by the man behind the curtain, Ken O'Keefe. O'Keefe is back from a stint in the NFL and he has a bunch of new tricks up his sleeve.

Look, I don't want to go through the talent position by position, but remember that you heard it here first - this offense will be as memorable as the 1985 and 2002 offenses. I'm predicting 11-1, with a loss to OSU, that we will avenge in the B1G title game, but get edged out of the playoffs after OSU laid such a terrible egg last year on behalf of the Conference. Sadly, the Rose Bowl is in the playoff this year and we will go to some crap bowl and an uninspired team will show up, so we will lose. I'm going with 12-2 for the final record.

I bitched and complained about KOK like everyone else. Couldn't get the play in on time, vanilla offense, predictable. And then I saw Davis. I missed using the TEs', I missed the play action. I am looking forward to this year's offense.

I actually agree with this. I feel that every game on the schedule is winnable. As long as we don't stub our toe in the non-conference games, I think it's going to be a great year.

KOK is a welcome site for sure. I use to get ticked at him but nothing like I did with Davis. This is going to be a very good for our young QB's. I'm looking pretty optimistic for the season. Keeping my fingers crossed for the ooc. Oh how I dislike the occ.:(

It will be interesting how the whole new staff works together. It will be interesting what new tricks KOK learned in the NFL.

But lets be honest, BF is brand new in the job and there will be a learning curve. He will lean heavily on KOK for advice, but in the end, I am sure BF has his own ideas that he wants to try. I see a lot of experimenting this year. Trying some things that will work and trying many things that won't work. It won't start to jell until around mid-season.

Every time hopes are high we tank, and when expectations are low (a lá 2015) we don't.

My prediction is we lose to either Wyoming or ISU, then Penn State, Ohio State, Northwestern, and Wisconsin. Kurt drops non-cons like they're hot, especially against Iowa State, so don't give me a bs argument about how we're going to bulldoze the preseason. Postseason we lose the Pinstripe Bowl and go 7-6 overall.

You can "but, but, but!!" all you want, but this team doesn't have the pieces to go 11-1. Next year or the year after? I like those chances better.
