Wisconsin

I still believe Kirk informally suspended Brian for the meltdown the previous week, and the Ohio State game plan was O'Keefe's. It was simple too unlike a Brian game plan. I went up to Madison the next week and was completely disappointed by the same old same. It's hard to "enforce your will" on a team as physical or more physical than yourself. Sometimes the rabbit has to outwit the fox.
Well in that case, informally suspend him again. His meltdown on the sideline at jNW cost his daddy and his offense fifteen yards of field position.

We can't afford to give away fifteen yards of field position in this game.

This isn't our first rodeo, been to the National Finals many times, will Kirk/Brian/Nate be able to stay on the bull until the buzzer sounds?

We need these three Amigos to be something they seldom have been "cool under fire" in a big game, to lead the rest of the team to victory.

I wonder if two weeks of "rumination" by these three is a good thing for a victory?

Exactly, coaches can give a bit of an earful to the officials during the game but the best thing is to send in the video to the conference and demand an explanation for a bad officiating decision.

This game will resemble the game 2 years ago up there. Nothing about BF, KF, or Nate Stanley points to our offense even scoring in Madison. I believe we had a grand total of what 65 yards of offense that game? Our offense is worse now, and we have zero running game with a worse offensive line. Pretty sure Josh Jackson had 2 pick sixes up there and we still got smoked. We will struggle to stop their running game as our linebackers are not anywhere close to what they were 2 years ago either.

Yes, if Iowa loses they are basically 1 1/2 games behind Wisky with 3 games to go. We know Wisky isnt a juggernaut since Illinois beat them but if Iowa losses then Wisky would have to lose two of their remaining games while Iowa wins out.

The bad part about that is even if Iowa beats Minny we might need Wisky to beat Minny also yet I dont think Wisky is losing their other two games that are not to Minny.

I think Penn State will handle Minnesota for sure.

I'd love to have that job of reviewing those and jumping someones sh*t.

So you want coaches that show 0 emotion and don't express their disagreement? Not like he gets these every game and how is it different than a basketball coach getting T'ed up? I know wrestling is a different animal and they let stuff really go there.

In a weird way having two pick 6s probably hurt our offense and our defense. Time of possession likely hugely favored UW because of those two plays. It was 17-14 in the 3Q and our defense wore down. Our offense was putrid that day no doubt. Fant dropped a likely touchdown in the 3Q.

The good news is that game two years ago has no barring in what we will see this year. Iowa very well could get shut down by a strong UW defense but it won’t be because of the game two years ago.

Let the head coach get the unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and technical fouls.

If I'm Kirk or Fran or Tom Izzo or any other head coach and one of my assistants pull something that then I'm having a chat with him later. Also, a fifteen yard penalty in a football game can be much more damaging than a technical foul in basketball.

Anyway, in this situation I was only shedding a little bit of irony on top of what was an ironic situation, that being the offense outburst against OSU one week after Brian's antics in the press box against Minnesota.

That nose tackle, Jacobs?, also owned James Daniels that day, culminating in the botched center snap that to Jacobs returning a fumble for a TD.

It was complete and utter domination all around. Only Josh Jackson prevent a 1985 Illinois 59-0 beatdown type of game.

I'm not optimistic, but if we can hold them under 21 points I think we have a chance.

I'd feel a lot better if Brandon Smith was ready to go.....

Except, if you stay mute, the same thing can happen again and again until you let the officials know what's what. Just have to do it a little calmly.

Bingo. If BSmith is back, we can utilize mismatches and his nose for the ball, thus making ISM more likely to draw single coverage, as well.

The Iowa football program is built to play in this type of game...............so is Wisconsin's.

It should be a great B1G battle.

Go Hawks

Where do you think Brian learned this behavior? Kirk or Mary?
