Wisconsin may have hardest next 10 games in NCAA history

A win over Wisconsin on Saturday puts us back in the tourny hunt now. Obviously, if you can win at Indiana you can win at Iowa but still, this is a huge game on Saturday.

I think Indiana is more talented than Iowa this year but also think Carver is going to be a much tougher atmosphere to play in Saturday night than Assembly Hall was last night.

20th Anniversary of Street dying added with this being the first time Iowa has played Wisconsin since the Uthoff transer ordeal played out is going to make Carver go absolutely bonkers on Saturday night.

I think its going to be a good game and a win would be huge for the Hawks.

This probably will be the best Carver atmosphere in a long time. Maybe since the V-day game vs Sparty in 06? Maybe since longer than that. Goddammit I'm pumped.

Activebadger better post if his team loses so we can make fun of him. Even if they win, I'm still going to make fun of him.

I think you're right, as we saw in our game against Indiana, if you can slow the game down and make them play halfcourt offense, they aren't that good. Indiana is terrific if they can get out and run, like in the first half against Minnesota, but when teams slow them down they are very beatable.

Tom Crean will always struggle against Wisconsin until he develops a productive half court offense. Everything he tries to get done is in transition. Wisconsin's chance was bleeding the shot clock down on offense to the last 10 seconds and hoping they can get a shot to fall, last night they were falling from everyone. When you play defense that long you get impatient offensively and take bad shots. Nobody is more guilty than Hulls, he was putrid last night. Wisconsin dictated tempo all night and got some shots to fall.

I hate Wisky, but have to respect Bo, for what he has done year in and year out with that program. It is impressive especially since everyone counted them out when Gasser went down. Would be a huge win for Iowa.

Did you watch the game last night? That crowd was absolutely electric and was going nuts for the entire second half. I'm sure Carver will be emotional on Saturday, I'm sure it will be tough but it won't be any more crazy than what Assembly Hall was last night.

I don't know why people think I wouldn't come back here and post? It's a road game. In the BIG. Followed by a ridiculously hard fought physical and emotional game against Indiana. It's a game that Wisconsin can easily lose. If they do does that say Iowa is better than Wisconsin? No, it means Iowa won on their home court. You have to win your home games in this league if you want any chance.

I did watch the game last night.

Maybe "much tougher atmosphere" in my first post was on overstatement.

It will be a tougher atmosphere though than last night.

This is why I said never count out Wisconsin. I got some flack for saying they will probably still finish in the top half of the conference. Bo is a crybaby, but he gets the job done.

Hey when you get every single bounce to go your way, you should win a few. Traevon Jackson is brutal and throwing **** in left and right after clanking around the rim 3 times. Any team should win being as fortunate

Hater

About as brilliant as Jon Miller's 9th place prediction for Wisconsin. What is that saying? Those that don't learn from history are destined to repeat it?

Where's that guy who kept posting the "U mad Bo?" Maybe we can get that caption with the students rushing the court after another victory over a top 5 team?

In all seriousness, Iowa is a dangerous team, still with a great chance to make the dance but those that thought UW was going away haven't followed history.

You can always tell when Wisconsin has something good happen because Inactive Badger comes pawing around. Wisconsin has won games I didn't think they would win...in ways I didn't think they would win them. I hope they keep winning. Wisconsin is my 1st choice of teams to play in the 2nd round of the BTT. It would be a nice insurance win if we need one.

Their schedule looks pretty sweet now... 4 games left against teams above 100 RPI. They are 4 of 5 against top 25. Hard to believe.
