Wisconsin Kickoff

Probably 2:30--all of the other Big 10 games except Penn State/Minnesota are already scheduled for noon and there are better Big 12 games that ABC/ESPN will put at night.

Times are usually released no fewer than 12 days in advance, so we should know today.

Going off last week's announced times for the games this weekend we should know before 12pm today.

Most likely a 2:30 kick-off on ABC regional.

Meh. I hate 2:30 games. 11:00 start times are the best.

2:30pm kicks rule. I get to sleep in a little bit, watch Gameday and the first half or so of the early games, and take my time getting ready before I roll out of the camper to head up to the stadium. I, personally, would love to give 11:00am kicks the banhammer.

Now that the Wisconsin game time is set, can someone start the "What time is kickoff for the Michigan State game?" thread. We need at least 12 of those before it is announced NEXT MONDAY. (sorry had to vent a little).

What time is the kickoff for the Michigan State game?

Not trying to be a jack *** but when you need to travel seven hours to get to Iowa City there is a big difference between a 11:00 and 2:30 game.

I like knowing the start time as far in advance as possible. It is a bigger deal for those of us that are not in the IC area. I only have about a 1hr 45min drive, but the guys that have season tickets with me commute from Indiana and Oklahoma. Much bigger deal to them.

As for the 2:30 starts, I love them. Gives us plenty of time to tailgate and then I can still make it home for the 2nd half of the primetime games. For the 11 AM kicks we only get about 2-3 hours of tailgating. I never get sauced during tailgates, but it is nice to have the extra 3 hours to hang out with friends, catch up, throw the football around, play some bags, etc. I don't see some of these guys besides football Saturdays in IC, and I would venture to guess that there are many others in the same position. We only get 7 of them a year, so I am all for having them take up the whole day if possible! :)

I completely agree. I want to know as far in advance. We have an hour and a half drive from Dubuque, so the 2:30 kicks are pretty optimal for us. The other issue we run into is sitters for a 1 and 3 year old. 2:30 is much better because then the sitter doesn't have to stay late at night and can start later in the morning. It is better for us to know ahead of time so we can line things up. And I echo the thoughts about more time to hang out with people I only see in Sept-Nov each year.
I am guessing Michigan St will be not be an 11 game, it will be 2:30 or a night game.

The best kick time is the old 1:05pm start ... awesome ... but TV put the kibosh on those

To quote the late, great Marv Albert re 2:30 k/o for Wisky: "YEESSSH!!" :)
