Wisconsin is going to "B" rian "F" erents us

Iowa is going to have a hard time scoring. And their DL will have their hands full with Wisconsin's OL

Turnovers and Penalties??? We hope. Well the hawks cant let the freshman run all over them so they have to stop the run first then be ready for all the play action with the underneath routes. If they really slow down the run and hornibrook doesnt have a great game then maybe, just maybe. It has happened to much better teams than wisky getting beat or upset.

Hawk DLine needs to play unexpected like lining up differently and trying to split every gap and get in the backfield quick to disrupt. Something to throw wisky off. But wait lets beat jNW first which wont be easy.

While I agree that Wisconsin is very good they should have lost today. Purdue beat themselves with turnovers and penalties. They blocked a punt and should have had a touchdown but the guy fell down and they missed a field goal. Later they were driving again and threw an interception. The Purdue defense held them scoreless in the second half. This game was at Wisconsin. It will be a big challenge but I think the Hawks can beat Wisconsin.

That's it fellas! Give me more reasons to believe!

They may very well beat Iowa, maybe even soundly. They have a fantastic young RB and good Oline.

That's said, they should have lost today, didn't look good on offense outside of the RB.

Not sure I chalk up a guaranteed loss after watching them today.

Purdue will be a tough game....

If we can stop their run, which I don't think we can, then it will be close possibly. Taylor is the best back in the conference other than Barkley, and he is a freshman. With our lack of pressure on opposing qbs, Hornibook will be able to complete passes against us. We will have a very difficult time moving the ball on them. They're excellent against both the run and pass, and like to bring pressure a lot, and have the dbs to be able to cover.

Wisky only scored 17 on Purdue at home... Surely if we match that we'll be in the game right? I think getting them at home sure won't hurt our chances. I'm not putting the farm on it or anything but Iowa will give them a fight much like we gave PSU. Might not end up in a victory but they aren't going to mop the floor with us. OSU on the other hand....

I know it's splitting hairs but I'd put Dobbins for Ohio St ahead of him

I'll say it again. If we play ball control we will score just enough to lose. If we were to come out throw it all over the yard, we would catch WUs completely flat-footed with zero game plan, defensively, to rely on. They'd have to scramble. But, you know, 60% run, 40% (usually when obvious) and we'll lost a close game.

I have no idea what you do for a living but whatever it is you have a better game plan for facing Wisconsin than Iowa usually has. They always play this game tight when the way to attack Wisconsin is to throw. Iowa always tries to outmuscle them.

Now throwing against them is easier said than done. You need a QB and some guys to catch it but it's better idea than trying to run against that front 7 which is always good

Wisconsin is going to beat Iowa 69-0. We won't get 8 first downs. Taylor is going to get 422 yards.

We shouldn't be in the same stadium much less the same field.

But they didn't lose. All they do is win. Even when they play badly, they still usually come out on top.

Honestly I think we match up better against Ohio State when you look at the rosters and the strategies the two coaching staffs use.

We play them at Madison which seems to be ok for our hawks who have beaten several favored badger teams there over the last 10 or so years.

LOL! trust me, I ain't quitting my day job. Iowa's offense needs to go through Nathan Stanley's arm for the next 3 seasons (including '17). I mean, to me, it's as plain as the nose on my face.

Using some of the posters logic on this forum: The visiting team has won the last 7 games in this series, therefore Iowa will win.
