Wisconsin is favored by 4 in this game. I will be pulling for Indiana and think they could pull the upset but I have to pick Wisconsin to get the win. I sure hope I'm jinxing them.
...but from the standpoint of the B1G tourney and NCAA tourney, we will be much more tested than Wisconsin.
Disagree. Wisconsin played a tough non-conference schedule and it's a highly rated schedule. Hoosiers will test them tonight.
Still think MSU is the best team in the league.
I had no idea how easy Wisconsin's schedule was this year until I looked at it. They only play ONE road/neutral game against a ranked team all year....when they come to Carver on the 22nd. In addition, they only have to play OSU and MSU once and BOTH of them are at home.
We've played 4 road/neutral games against not just ranked teams, but Top 10 teams. We've got one more coming when we travel to MSU. It sucks from the standpoint of trying to win the B1G regular season title, but from the standpoint of the B1G tourney and NCAA tourney, we will be much more tested than Wisconsin.
I noticed this about 3 weeks ago and still don't believe it. Their schedule is more suited toward a team trying to pull itself up by the bootstraps after being down for a long time, not a team that has been relevant for a long time.
Connie has a good SOS because it's loaded with top 50-200 teams. Which is a good OOC schedule but it doesn't make it a tough schedule. You played 3 top 25 teams, 2 at home and 1 on neutral court. The refs bailed you out against Iowa to get you a 4 pt win and Florida played without 3 of their best players, only winning by 6 pts. St. Louis was a good win. The rest:Disagree. With the resurgence of the conference in the last few years and now, with the unbalanced schedules, I don't see anything lower than 15-3 winning the conference. 15-3 probably ties for the conference title and 16-2 wins it outright.
We have 3 super tough games (Wisky, OSU, MSU) and 4 semi-tough games (Mich, Purdue, ILL, Minny) at home. Then we have 1 super tough game (MSU), 4 semi-tough games (Mich, Ind, ILL & Minny) and 2 easy ones (PSU & NW). Unless a miracle happens, I don't see us winning at MSU. Out of 8 semi-tough and 3 super tough games, I see us going 7-4. Throw in wins in the 2 easy roadies, plus the loss at MSU, and that leaves us at 12-6. Unless we go on some sort of hellacious run, I don't see us better than 12-6 with the schedule we have. I certainly hope I'm wrong.

RPI: 22 - Virginia on the road - Good win
RPI: 39 - Greenbay (10-3 record) @ Home. Good 11 pt win.
RPI: 57 - St John's (9-6 record) - Neutral court. Not impressed.
RPI: 76 - West Virginia (10-7 record) Neutral court. 7 pt win. Not impressed.
RPI: 80 - Marquette (10-7 record) @ home. 6 pt win. Not impressed.
That's all top 25 and PRI top 100 teams. As I said, good schedule. Nothing to sneeze at but I see 3 Good wins.
When you guys come to Carver, it will be a double digit beating. There will be no doubt who the better team is.
I will agree that MSU is the best team in the BIG, if they are healthy. Which they are not, at this point. Obviously every team's health can effect their performance.
Hoosiers will test them tonite. Should be interesting to see if Bo's whining gets the refs attention or Psycho the Clap happy Clown gets his way. Generally tough to get the calls in Indian, I'll say up front. Vonleh stays out of foul trouble and picks up some fouls instead, should be key. Really looking forward to seeing Vonleh vs Hayes as I think both are physical players.
