I knew it was going to be a down year, for Iowa anyway, but jeeeeeez. Hopefully that will change as the newcomers improve during the season.

Yeah, pre-season is the key to all these. For example for example Fio is ranked at 125 and is widely rumored to not be enrolled at Boise St. now. I'm sure there are other mistakes and, I'm guessing, even the guys who put them together know they will change drastically when the season starts.

AustinMNhawk is exactly right. The preseason rankings are very hard to put together and nobody really knows what is going to happen with everyone's lineups for sure. I've put some together and they are very hard to do and easy to criticize. I don't actually think that these look too bad for the Hawks right now. Most of these guys are unproven and have to prove themselves to get there rankings. I did kind of expect Nate Moore to be a little higher and Rasing and Kerry can't be too far out of that top 20 but these are pretty good for preseason rankings.

things can change a lot, for example what was Matt McDonough preseason ranked last year? sometimes kids will grow up fast and surprise you, some will fly under the radar. kinda like all other sports. the great news is that we have the best coaching staff to get the absolute most out of our wrestlers.

Interesting that they did not list Jarion Beets (UNI--All American) at 174 or 184. He was only a junior last year, right?

Other rankings have him as high as 4 @ 165. W.I.N is hard to take seriously when they don't have returning AA's ranked in the top 20, but I'm sure it is an oversight when dealing with this many numbers of people. Kind of a big one if you have a list of returning AA's and NQ's though.
