Wilson fired at Indiana

Watched all of Tom Allen's speech last night - he may not pan out there but damn - he made me want to play for him. He's passionate about IU football to say the least.

So was Bill Lynch and I'd wager he could throw his gum farther.

He did a really nice job with what was a pathetic defense in 2014. Will be interesting to see if he sticks with Wilson's offense or switches things up. I'm thinking the latter.

Interesting that Wilson replaced Mangino as Stoops' OC at Oklahoma. Both became head coaches who were let go for reportedly similar reasons.

Guy sounds like a jerk. The type of jerk who would send 13 of his players to the hospital with Rhabdo, ending their athletic careers.
Yeah, it ended Carl Davis's, Jordan Bernstine's, Tanner Miller's, etc...athletic careers. Oh, wait...the all played in the NFL. God, you are the biggest idiot I've ever 'read'. Do you EVER know what you are talking about? We ALL know the answer to that question.............

I'm confused. It happen at Indiana! That's about as podunk as it can get in P5 conferences.
That's what I meant. You could get away with it as a head coach at Indiana but it wouldn't fly as an assistant at Iowa under Ferentz.

If the guy's a badass OC no one would have to worry about personnel issues since Ferentz and his guys apparently have that locked down. He'd make more money, wouldn't be in charge, and would have no incentive (quite the opposite) to be a dickhead to players.

Aaaah, I see.

What's weird is that I thought he was always portrayed as a nice guy from the sports media and what I've heard others such as coaches talk about him. I thought he was a rah rah players kind of coach, guess not.

Chuck Longs personality and style was totally different from the other guys, if anything he was to nice and relaxed in the sunny weather at sdsu.

Tanner Miller played in the NFL? Huh? Did not know that.
