A terrible team that beat Wisconsin just a few weeks back.
Let me clue you in on something..........IOWA is now Bowl eligible for
13 out of 14 seasons.
IOWA is 6-2 with a 3 pt loss to in-state rival and road loss to
Maryland, who beat Penn State today.
We are 1 loss away from being in the Playoff conversation and yet
some of the Whiners want more Pinot Grigio to WHINE ON with their Cheese heads!

Wow, a bowl game, only 75 other teams will get honor. If just making a bowl is enough for you then I could see how Kirk would be your man.
Also, we get that whine and wine are homophones. While it is extremely clever the point has been made.

There is delusion right there.....the Hawks have ZERO chance of being in playoff conversation, even with one less loss. You do realize they have never been ranked, and cannot possibly get to #4. But keep thumping your chest, Mr. "I'm a real fan and anyone who dares criticize King Kurt is a whiner."

Northwestern no longer has the Hawks number. That is all over and done with now. Ancient history.
IDK Northwestern beat WI and had MN on the ropes and should have won that one too. What does that say about the Hawks.

The victory was a good one by IMO it means absolutely nothing when talking about our upcoming games against WI and MN. You think this Northwestern victory means Iowa should have no issues with both WI and MN?

To answer the OP's question... no... the whiners will never stop whining because it's not just what they do... it's who they are. Without the ability to come to an internet forum under an assumed identity and complain about everything as if they actually have knowledge of the subject they have no identity.
They're much like the stereotypical deal killing lawyer. They can't look like experts by agreeing. They need this place and they need to disagree and complain about everything in order to appear as if they know something. Why they've decided that D1 level football is what they need to look expert at is anyone's guess. My bet is nobody in the profession or field of work they pursue offline recognizes them as expert in their field... maybe not even competent... so they come here and pretend to be experts at this.
It's really a little sad. I feel bad for them... I wish they had a more positive outloook on life. Things would go so much better for them if they did.

I'm enjoying the win. Iowa did what they should have been doing to bad teams all year. Did the light finally come on, or will we slip back into an offensive coma again next week? I hope that it's the former. Yesterday I was done with KF. I'm still not taking him back with open arms, but it was a step in the right direction. You could see he wanted to pound the purple cats into the ground, and I really enjoyed watching that.

why don't you just say "Haters" and latch on to the most popular cliche' term.
I don't see a lot of whiners. I have seen a lot of legitimate criticism that has been not only warranted...it's been dead on. And just as legitimately...today was about as total a team performance as we've seen from a KFz team in quite awhile. The Hawks were hitting on all cylinders. It was great to see.
Try to get past your black and white way of looking at things son... the world is a more complex place and one instance doesn't equal absolute...anything. Consistent patterns and trends...however...do. When they're good...you'll read praise and recognition. When they're bad...you'll read criticism.

I think today, like the Indiana game, is what most of us thought we would see from this offense all year.
Jake seemed to have more zip on the ball, not falling away on throws, just very good. I think Jake likes those 15-20 yard throws.
Have I been whining some this year, I guess you can say I have if I am complaining about not seeing basic plays like slants, 15 yard posts, and other plays that are pretty standard to a pro-style offense.
I have whined for a few years about throwing more deep balls and taking more shots.
I have been whining about X's and O's.
I thought CJ looked very good leading that drive and I wished he would have got in one series earlier but that is ok.

- The previous complaints regarding the program were justified.
- Great game by the Hawks. I sensed this was coming due to our previous crummy game and some Kinnick home-cooking. No surprise here.
- IMO, the true measure of this team will be evident next week @ Minnesota.
