Will Seniors start vs Nebraska

Saturday will be last regular season home game for Iowa. Will May start again? The real question is will Rickert get a ceremonial start?

I think what probably happens is, only May starts. Expecting a beatdown, Rickert gets 4-5 minutes at the end. Just my guess.

I thought I remembered Fran saying he doesn't believe in starting seniors just because it's senior day?

May starts. No on Rickert. No need to do something like that. Honor them before the game. Rickert would probably choose to want to 'honor' his teammates by the best players being in there and getting the W

I don't think I have heard Fran say he does not believe in starting seniors on senior day, but he has certainly demonstrated that in the past. Rickert will not start and should not expect any additional time than he would normally get in this game. I thank him for his contribution as a good practice player and teammate, but I can't get him into the game, and Fran likely won't either barring a blow out.

Rickert is not starting. I agree there is no need for that. However, if Rickert were given the option (which he will not be) he would not pass up the chance to start so he could "honor" his teammates.

Agree. I would hope that we take care of business and Rickert does get in at the end of the game. He will certainly put up a couple shots if he does get in there.
