Will Purdue be the type of trap game KF loses this year?

I hope not but the Wisky game will take a lot of their energy and emotion.

Purdue is terrible but it seems KF teams for the past 6-7 years have always stumbled against at least one team they should clobber. WMich in 07, ISU many times where hawks lose to inferior clown teams, CMich last year, Purdue last year, NW way too many times.

Purdue is the one game remaining that the players need to really take to the bank. So I hope that KF pulls out whatever motivational methods he can to get and keep the players as high as needed.

If the hawks can clobber Purdue that might also be a sign that this staff has a little more killer instinct.

I don't believe so. I think the ohio state loss gave these kids a ton of confidence. As it should have. OSU wanted to make a statement game, because of the BCS rankings and we didn't let them do that.

I think these guys know that it is their best chance at at win and to make a bowl game. I don't see a let down.

Very good points by all. I think they should be very confident but it seems like KFs low key demeanor seems to rub off on the players some times

While this has appeared to be the case in previous years, from the beginning of the year players I've talked to have said to expect an 8-9 win season. This is a confident young team despite KF

As much as I want to see a W over Wiscy I don't see it happening. The players know if they win in West Lawfayette they get an airplane ticket to somewhere come late December. I don't see it being a trap game at all.

Hawks haven't let up in a game so far. Yeah, lost three, but all to ranked teams and all came down to the last possession or two in the 4th.

Now back to Wiscy.

As long as Ruddock plays a pretty good gm I say we will beat purdue. But history shows that sometimes we don't show up and play hard against teams that we are suppose to beat easily.

Iowa and Ohio State have sent some good to great teams to West Lafayette and came out with their tails between their legs.

This year, I do like Jake's performance in road games. IMO, the road games haven't affected him.

Tickets start at $1.60, via StubHub, but this isn't the cheapest home game at West Lafayette.
Tickets against Illannoy start at 40 cents plus StubHub fees.
"Boiler Up" is probably the worst fan chant in college football, other than "Let's Go Peay."
