Thanks for posting this. I have been wondering where Coker stacks up on the all-time list. By the end of next year, assuming he stays healthy all season, he has a decent shot of finishing his Junior year in 2nd place on the all-time list. Very impressive.

That is the key. It will be interesting to see how he holds up. This season has taken a toll on him, that is a FACT!

As of Sunday night, McCall remains suspended, Ferentz said. The true freshman's staus for the bowl game is up in the air.

That only happened once, and he had been out for over half the season. And the first game, he was running the ball well.

Yeah I think its a stretch as well. I think Iowa's bad luck with running backs is a factor as well.

My guess is McCall does not make the bowl trip. IMO we will not see him in a Hawkeye uniform again.
I don't think grades is the reason ... have they even come out yet? Finals aren't til next week, correct?
I find it hard to believe that the facebook post would result in him still being suspended. Was it a dumb move by McCall, absolutely. Should he be suspended going on 2 weeks? I don't think so. One game suspension maybe, but keep him practicing. Maybe a little extra conditioning in practice also
I heard rumors initially that what he did wrong is not a good thing at all. At the time a lot of facts were still being gathered. Have not heard much about it lately, which is really confusing. Figured more details would have come out by now.

This is why people talk about McCall. Being able to take 5-10 carries away from Coker actually BENEFITS Coker--and the team--long-term. I'm sure there's a faction that thinks McCall should get more carries than Coker, but generally I'm not reading many bad things about Coker in these McCall threads.

hold on a minute - i thought you knew why he was suspended?? and grades/attendance, etc are easily found out prior to final grades being issued.

Heard its grades from reliable source... take that for what its worth. I won't say who told me and feel free to call me a troll, is a reliable source to me not just anyone off the street if you feel me.

I hope you are correct that the reason is grades. Grades is much better then what i heard ... for the university and for McCall. The one thing that doesn't make sense to me about the grades is that they can't be out yet ... unless his are so bad that there is no chance he can become eligible.
Just as well get rid of him early if you know he won't be eligible to continue anyway ...
