Will McCall make the bowl trip?

Just hoping this question gets asked tonight at the presser. We really need him to make the trip and continue being a Hawkeye.

I really hope so, Johnny. We should get some use from wasting his red shirt in the Purdue game. Just might keep him on board.....

:)

Who cares? Guy can't even position his arms correctly for a freakin' handoff!
I'd be surprised if he ever plays another play at Iowa.

Lets be postitive on mccall. The coaches recruited him and if his play and demeanor are good we want him here.

i don't really care either
i'm ready to follow Coker go up the ladder on the rushing record books
#1 Shaw 4156 yards
#2 Betts 3686 yards
#3 Young 3177 yards
#4 Banks 2977 yards
#5 Russel 2760 yards
#6 Stewart 2562 yards
#7 Gill 2556 yards
#8 Harmon 2277 yards
#9 Greene 2228 yards
#10 Phillips 2177 yards
#11 Mosely 2132 yards
#12 Coker 2006 yards and counting

not bad for a player that is not the best rb on the team, after the bowl game he could be anywhere from 9th to 12th at the worst going into next fall
but i guess people still want the bench player to get the carries

I want guys that don't need to be taught how to take a handoff.
If they can't do that at this point, goodbye.

Yeah I mean I would never want a QB who had to be taught how to hand the ball off. Oh wait, you mean we had a QB who did that? Man I am sure glad they took the time to teach DREW TATE how to do that.

It was a tweak, get over it, not like he didn't know how to do it. They were trying to relax him a bit, soften his hold up.

I agree. I think he has a bright future here. The athletic ability is obvious, otherwise there wouldn't be multiple threads over the last 2 months. When was the last time we saw a back who could take it 80 yards to the house. I think that is what we all saw, so i wish him the best and hope he remains a hawk. By the way, did anyone see what Jewel Hampton's year was like? He's a stud, even after 2 knee surgeries.

Is McCall the new Wegher? what is it about this fanbase that can't stop talking about certain backup players?

With two years left, Coker could be the leading rusher in school history, and still we talk about mccall mccall mccall...
