Will Iowa pay for the CBI?

And I agree with that. However, they have become more high profile recently. Sitting out bowl games was a new phenomenon for football. I could see it happening in basketball at the college level as well.

Have you noticed the NBA teams 'resting' players more often now? Started with Popovich and the Spurs and now happens regularly throughout the season. Never happened in the old days. It's a new way of looking at sports (baseball team limiting innings pitched during the season, hockey teams playing 2 goalies more often). It's not necessarily about injuries - fatigue is being addressed proactively.

That's a different story, even baseball gives players rest during a 162 game season and I wouldn't be surprised to see more teams using 6 man rotations. Playing a 82 game schedule in the NBA is much more taxing on the body than a 30 game college schedule.

I can see why top football players choose to skip meaningless bowl games, I don't see it in basketball. If I'm wrong you are more than welcome to tell me "I told you so!" :)

I think it would be a better time to admit, nobody gives a shart about the CBI tournament and Iowa will NEVER EVER be a part of it. If you hate Iowa bb so much that you need to start threads constantly putting the team down in snarky back handed ways, then find another team to root for. (not meaning you specifically)
God you people are stupid. It has nothing to do with "anyone caring". The arena can be empty for all I care. Y'all can not go if you want. The point is NOT to entertain you. The point is to get more actual in-game time against real defenses for freshmen against real college teams. If Jok doesn't want to play, he doesn't have to. Hell, it might be better for the program to encourage him NOT to play. Might as well figure out what next year will look like.

Not going for the 'I told you so'. Actually trying to point out how things are changing. I thought it was interesting that someone brought up Iowa playing in a lower level tournament and Jok not playing. I just went with the thought.

It's all good.
