Iowa women jumped up to number 8.

The ratings by themselves don't mean all that much. But I got the impression that Iowa has already moved to the top #3 seed in Bracketology (at the very least).

Ultimately, it would appear that it will come down to four teams fighting for two remaining #2 seed slots - and two of those four teams are Iowa and Iowa State (the remaining two are Texas and LSU).

As a summary, I think South Carolina, Stanford and N.C. State are locks for #1 seeds - Baylor and Louisville will flip a coin for the fourth one. The one who loses that coin toss along with U Conn become the top #2 seeds.

If Iowa were to get a #2, that is pretty heady company to be sharing a seed that high with. Yet another accomplishment for this team.
