Will Iowa Dance This Year? - BTN.com

Good stuff. But Devyn Marble wasn't originally recruited by McCaffery, he's technically a Todd Lickliter recruit.

I can go either way. Just depends on how everyone has developed since last year. They don't even mention Gesell who I think is a major upgrade at PG. Also if Olaseni has developed at all he could at least be a defensive force down low. However, if they haven't progressed as much as we all hope it could be another average year. I am of the opinion that they have gotten better.

They won't lose to the Campbells and I think they win games that they are supposed to like Nebby, and NW this year finally. They may not beat Indiana or Wisky twice, but if they win a few of those and the ones they are supposed to win on paper, then they'll be dancing.

Some good points from both writers in that article. I agree that the two main keys this season will be how well the Hawks can compensate from losing Gatens, and how well the paint can be defended. Can Woodbury stay healthy, out of foul trouble, and still be an effective freshman in league play? All yet to be seen.

All in all, a pretty spot-on article IMO. Should be an interesting season, and I think the team will find itself on the NCAA bubble this year.

The margin between NCAA and NIT for this team will be razor thin. Luck and injuries will play a role. Perhaps a deciding one.

It's a long season and you can only go two ways ,up or down... I believe the team has enough maturity to do well this year and next few more years. Go hawks.

I have been thinking about injuries quite a bit lately. If Marble or Gesell miss any time this year, I wonder how the team will perform.

I'm cheating by using the Quincy game, this team is loaded
Oglesby can shoot, Clemmons is a solid backup for Gesell and if needed can start, Woody will start but get less minutes than Gabe,
May played like the May before his injury, White is playing just like he did to end the season McCabe looks better now than he did at the end of the season,
Exhibition or not this was a good tuneup to watch film and correct errors
forcing 31 T/0 and 46 rebounds
