Actually watch this game?

I have always know it was a late start Iowa time (I live on the Left Coast, so I take it for granted) but heard a ad on ESPN and it says "10:30 eastern time.".. and thought good god, no one is going to watch this game east of the Mississppi...

I live in North Carolina and will be watching the game after I get off of work at 9:30 eastern, although being back at work at 9am is going to be rough!!

Every sports bar on the east coast will have this game on. Bars close at two. Don't kid yourselves. If you're at a bar and not talking to the talent, you're watching the game.
Tons of folks out east will be seeing it. Under 30 years old, that is.

We will be watching here in Michigan. Like PENNHWK said I think a lot of people at bars will see it because there will be nothing else. I think most people will really only see the first half but if the Hawks do what I think they will then that will be enough. I think AU does not score in the first have I say 17-0 going into halftime.

I'll be having dinner with a couple of customers in from Germany, but I will be angling to get home by the 10:30 kickoff.
Regardless, it'll be on my DVR. :)
And to echo scotty and PENN, there are a LOT of Hawkeye fans out east, along with gobs of Big10 FB fans in general. The game will pull a decent rating on the east coast.

ever wonder how the term 'east coast bias' came to be?

west coast games starting at 10:30 eastern time just might be a good reason for the term.

i never watch late saturday games. only reason i'm watching a 9:30 game on saturday night starts with I and ends with A.

Also one of the reasons nobody on the west coast goes to church. When football pre-game starts during breakfast, it is hard to pull yourself away to go listen to some guy talk about God for an hour.

That is actually a good point. I forgot how much bigger sports are in the midwest/east coast then Portland. Very average sports town. Our 2nd pro team is going to be soccer for gods sake...

Went to a Sounders game when I was in Seattle last month. Actually, I have to admit, it was pretty darn fun.

Captial I-Club in Northern VA will have their game watch on, as will a bunch of Hawkeyes in Tampa, FL.

Our I-club is just east of the Mississippi. And I mean just, and it is not happening because of the lateness of the game. That being said, our organizers are not spring chickens.

this is why it was so awesome during my too brief stay on the west coast. no staying up late for sports. its great. not so much now.

After we beat GT in the Orange Bowl, I had a lot of comments from my boys from Philly.
Thought they were watching the old Steel Curtain that January night. People will be watching Saturday night, Ray. People will be watching.

Yes - we'll be watching in Chicago.

what else is on that late on saturday night? Sh!t i am still on such a high i often stay up and watch the west coast games that start at 10:30 CT every saturday?? Is that any different?? I cannot get enough of football. Most people out east and in the southeast cannot get enough of football too.

Don't worry, the game will be over by half time and you can go to bed knowing that the Hawkeyes are going to blow out another team this Saturday night.
