Bruce Pearl will get a longer leash, because more fans will show up based solely upon their idea of who should be the head coach satisfied. You have an extremely split and divised opinion among the fanbase about how to rebuild the program. Ultimately, all most will care about will be winning. But, if a small fish coach or no/name coach can come in and win immediately, he's got a chance to stay. However, almost immediately, there will be tremendous pressure because so many fans will dislike him from day 1.
