Call it New Kirk; I see it as forward looking Kirk, which could be a subset of the New Kirk, if that's still a thing this year. They have enough talent in this year's line up to win a lot of games, and with some good fortune, the Big Ten West. But next year, there will be a lot of pieces to fill in. I think he wants these new guys to get some game experience this year, so when next year comes, with a nasty schedule, he's got guys on the roster that will have had played, and can hit the ground running. Good enough to play this year, yes, but it's about getting them ready for next year. Forward looking Kirk.
