Minnesota is slumping, Illinois could lose 3 out of their last 4, we have the weakest RPI. How you pick 1 to leave out? Why not 8 Big Ten teams in the dance?

IIRC the Big East once had 6 out of 8 or 9. The ACC once had 6 out of 9. And it's universally recognized that the Big Ten is the dominant conference year.

So the solution is simple. 8 teams from the Big Ten.

While I don't disagree with your theory, I truly believe that Iowa needs to win two next week to even be in the conversation. I playing the what I'd game, but IF we could have won just one of all those games we couldn't finish, it would be much harder to keep us out.

Now this post is one of the most ridiculous posts I've seen on here all season. There is NO WAY the Big Ten only gets 5. It is 6 for sure, almost certainly 7 and a reasonable chance at 8.

Are you new to college basketball? You have no idea what you're talking about. Illinois is in for 6 with Minnesota and/or Iowa likely as things unfold.

Committee doesn't consider conference records and standings. Iowa can certainly get in.

Of course they do, do you think its hard to add wins from their previous 18-20 games. Just like your last 10 games dont matter. Right, if Minny loses in the first round, they are in serious trouble. They have been getting blownout on the road.

Minnesota and Illinois are in most likely, they have to many good wins to keep out. I don't think it really effects Iowa other than taking away another at large spot.

Iowa will be judged against the other bubble teams not against those two directly.

Minnesota is top 25 in every ranking system and has the #2 strength of schedule, also beat Michigan St and Indiana and won @Illinois. Illinois is #36 in the RPI and has wins over Indiana, Butler, and @Gonzaga. Considering that Lunardi said good wins mean more than bad losses, I'd argue that Minn and Ill can't be left out of the tournament. Please remember that November and December, as well as who you play rather than how you play, are more important than they should be.
