Why no flag at the end???

Maybe I'm way off and I also know that it wouldn't have mattered but, why wasn't the PSU receiver flagged??? Per the rule, he was taunting. And then the even bigger one was psu's putz QB punting the ball after the knee. Like I said, it wouldn't have changed the outcome, but still.

He was. I think there may have even been 2 unsportsmanlike penalties as they too k a knee on the PAT from like the 30. Didn't matter.

I didn't see any unsportsmanlike conduct or anything that deserved a flag in the end, even after the final kneel down. Just good football.

REALLY????? So punting the football instead of handing it the ref is good football????

It should've been an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty PER THE RULES and they would've had to kick off to Iowa with a 15 yard penalty. If they're gonna have the rule, they need to call it consistently. So Wadley can't skip into the end zone but psu can taunt the crowd and punt the ball after taking a knee????

The punt happen after the whistle had blown to end the kneel. At that point the game is over. 0:00 and a play called dead. Idk why this is so hard to grasp.

they could have gotten 10000 unsportsman like penalties after the TD... didn't matter the game was over.

Technically, if there had been 8 concurrent unsportsmanlike penalties, Penn State would have been snapping from inside their own 3 yard line on the PAT. A safety there would have given Iowa 2 points and an shot at OT Given PSU's bizarre shotgun-style kneel down...

game is over, they won on a last second TD. Don't want them to celebrate on your field then don't let them score the TD or march down the field with a minute and a half to go.

You are correct about not letting them score. But the point is that if the ncaa is going to have a rule, they need to enforce it no matter what the situation. Not just when they feel like it. And since a game cannot end on a penalty, Iowa would have had a kick off to return. Which still highly unlikely they score. But either call it all of the time or get rid of it.

One thing that makes me upset about this world is how it seems like evil people, such as pedo state, seem to get all the lucky breaks. Wheras us good people seem to get the short end of the stick way too much. It's just not fair how people like that can get off so lightly for thier evil acts and get lucky there after. I still have confidence though that at sometime they will get the justice that is due them. It might not be today or tomorrow, but eventually pedo state will pay. Also Iowa will be on top again, they will get rewarded for being an honest and upright program in time. I know it.

I like to make a report of all the penalties the refs missed and send it to conference headquarters after the game. This week won't include any from the end of the game because the refs needed to get home fast and catch up on the B1G Network wrap up shows.

I think the argument should focus on why an unsportsmanlike call is made, as opposed to why it isn't, based on what occurs play in and play out. Sure we can ask why there was no flag on the final TD, but then again we could also ask why there was no flag after Jewel's pick in which he hit a home run out of Kinnick, knowing exactly what he was doing and who making it clear to everyone who it was being directed toward.

Fact is that stuff like this happens all the time, the issue should be about why something is deemed "blatantly" unsportsmanlike and flagged when it's constantly going on as opposed to wanting to see every act penalized.

What was a flag going to do? Nothing.

I'm pretty sure the QB punted the ball like 5 min after the game was over.

PSU was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct on their final offensive play. The officials made them snap the extra point, similar to the 2009 Iowa/MSU game where we had to snap the extra point after taking a 2 point lead on the final play of the game. PSU's extra point snap occurred with a 15 yard penalty enforced.

McSoreley's punt was 1 or 2 seconds after the game ended. He downed the ball, pivoted towards midfield and punted.

I thought it was hilarious that even on the extra point at the end of the game they snapped the ball out of shotgun to take a knee. Like McSorely physically doesn't know how to take a snap behind center.
