Why Iowa Won't Win The B1G

Like I posted before, how have they done lately? In the B1G, and with, maybe, a hand in their face? Or without a height, or athleticism advantage? An advantage few Iowa players have in the B1G? Except for Woody and Oleseni.

Marble is hitting 45.2% of his threes in conference play. Oglesby is hitting 52%. Gesell and McCabe have been slumping from outside, but it's not like Jok is ready to take on the B1G. He's got a slow release and hasn't yet fully recovered his athleticism. He's not going to get anything off with guys in his face, and he's going to struggle to get separation right now.

Iowa might need better shooters, but there aren't any better alternatives currently on the roster.

IMO. one could factor in Oglesby's or any Iowa long range shooter's effectiveness by goals and the breakouts caused.
A zero sum game, if you will.

He will be back in Iowa City on Tuesday it sounds like so we will find out. Im guessing his opinion of the Hawks hasnt changed much just because they had a dud of a game on Tuesday.

Only 17 players bring positive value, based on the number of 3-pointers made/missed, in the entire country. Nik Stauskas isn't one of them.

I didn't read the OP, but I'm guessing its because we are 3 games back and already lost once each to the top 2 teams, and thus it would take some hemorrhaging from the schools up north to give us a mathematical chance?

To be fair, he's only taken 5 shots from deep in conference play (2-5). He can shoot pretty well, but he's not been pulling the trigger a lot lately.
