Maybe people have May and Gatens confused? Gatens is unquestionably the better defender and is generally assigned to tougher players to guard. May is stronger though.
May is stronger, more physical and more experienced than Josh is right now. Josh will have his chance to earn more playing time next year. He needs to get stronger. Eric May is getting more minutes for lots of reasons. Josh's time will come.
