Why can't we get a PG?

I am confused as JBo a true frosh hit 6 more triples and scored 20 pts and dished out 6 assists. Hollins there PG got 12 pts & 11 assists.

His shooting percentage has not been very good so far this season. I'm more concerned about his turnovers and defense

He's a true frosh. Can he at least get through a half a season before you make permanent conclusions. He has had a few bad turnovers but is trying his best to stay in front of the opposing PG. Chances are he is going to improve his floor game cleaning up the turnovers with more experience. Then what's going to be your next gripe?

He's knocked down 13 3's in the last 2 games and dished out 13 assists. In my lifetime of watching the Hawks I cannot recall another one of our PGs that has knocked down that many threes in a game. He's done it twice now. To me he's a major bright spot but that would not fit your narrative.

I had high hopes for Williams but he's been the disappointment to me providing zero offense and no on the ball defense. I thought he'd be a good defender at least.

I'd rather focus on our need for a post player and rim protector and why we are playing guys like Ellingson at all.

His first few games playing D1 were really bad. He's either settled down and is his normal self now or he is on fire the last couple games. Either way I would guess the poor shooting at the beginning is an abnormality.

We all just guess on who we think will do what before the season starts. It's not that big of a deal to be wrong. You think a fan would be more willing to give in that he was wrong if the player is better than he predicted but that doesn't seem to be the case. Right now it's looking like we were wrong on Williams and we both have said as much. But 5656 is looking like he was wrong on JB but he is digging his feet in almost hoping JB will start sucking again. It's weird.

Why do people say Jordan isn't a PG? He played PG on all of his AAU teams and his HS team, and was brought in to be a PG. People think Mike was a PG, but he wasn't even the PG on his AAU team?

Because he's an undersized SG and can't defend the 1 at this level

Lol, he can't defend the 1, but he can guard 6'4-6'6" SG???

Jok couldn't defend an offensive lineman on the perimeter, is he still a wing player?

Bohannon Ellingson and Jok are all SG's. Jok can create a shot more than the other two because really JB and BE are only spot up shooters

So true. He runs the offense and passes the ball well. That makes him a point guard. If he could penetrate and defend point guards good, that would make him a great point guard.

PG primary responsibility is to get the ball up the court. JB has turned it over a lot this year but I cant recall a single turnover in the backcourt. He can handle the ball against pressure & that's what you need in a PG. Hollins from UNO was all over joe boo today. B's defense and turnovers will get better with experience.
