Why can't we get a PG?

Going to be tough for him to cut down on mistakes when there is more film on him and the competition ramps up

Not at all, but like everything to do with Jordan, you are completely wrong about him. He is really close to 10 PPG and 5 APG, and Ill guarantee you there isn't a chance in hell you would have said he would be averaging 1/2 those numbers to this point.

More film and tougher opponents might make it harder of him to get his deep 3s off. But I don't see how film will teach opponents how to force him to make stupid unforced turnovers.

I told you not all assists are created equally. When you make a great pass in the post and they score an easy bucket, you did most of the work. When you pass it to a guy who makes a contested jumper, they did most of the work.

That's what I miss most about Mike. His ability to drive and kick and make the great pass is sorely missed

I thought CW would be the main guy at PG so it are correct

What's funny is we've played 3 terrible teams and those were 3 of his bad games. It's not like he loaded up stats against the 300plus rpi teams.

I like Mike, I thought he was a good PG. It took Mike 4 years to do what Jordan is doing 8 games into his career.....nearly 5 APG, pretty freaking impressive really for Jordan.

If you just pretend turnovers, field goal percentage and defense don't matter then I agree with you that it's freaking impressive

Most freshman that weren't highly recruited you mean. Tons of freshman at other schools come in and are very efficient out of the gate

These are the stats of the #30-#60 ranked PG in last years class, all of them about a whopping 6-10 games into their careers. Jordan seems to fit right into this group. Certainly the way you described how horrible his PER was, you would think his PER would be 10 full points lower than every one of these guys.

10 PPG 2 APG 1.3 TO 18.9 PER
6 PPG 4.7 APG 2.3 TO 14.2 PER
11 PPG 4.5 APG 2.5 TO 19.4 PER
15 PPG 2.6 APG 1.8 TO 22 PER
12 PPG 3.8 APG 2.3 TO 14.2 PER
2.6 PPG 1.3 APG .6 TO 11.5 PER
1.4 PPG 1.1 APG .8 TO 8.1 PER
5.1 PPG 3.1 APG 1.1 TO 11.6 PER
7.6 PPG 3.9 APG 2.0 TO 10.5 PER

9 PPG 4.8 APG 2.5 TO 10.8 PER (Jordan)

Are you saying those are the #30-#60 ranked players overall that happen to be point guards? I assume so because there aren't 30 of them but it sounds like it's the 30th-60th ranked point guards.

Correct. I didn't include 5* kids, cause well they are 5* kids. So I went from #30-#60 and just took the PG in that group and looked up their stats.

So even with his terrible start, he's still comparable to a top 50 player right now? Maybe you should compare him to top 300ish players (ones who actually are borderline D1 players) to see how he compares to the group 5656 thinks he falls in.

Go right ahead if you want to do that, I satisfied my own curiosity by looking these stats up.

It is crazy how desprately 56 wants to paint Jordan as a failure.
