Why Arizona won't be ASU part deux

1. Battle tested 5th year senior quarterback instead of true sophomore quarterback making first road start.

2. Program with a full 11 years under it's belt instead of 5 years. System more entrenched and more opportunity to learn from mistakes.

3. More athletic, seasoned, veteran receivers.

4. Not facing a future NFL quarterback. Foles is good, but he ain't NFL material.

5. More quality depth in the back seven will allow defense to be fresher.

6. Lower revenge factor. When we beat ASU in 2003 21-2, while the margin of victory wasn't that great, we beat them like rented mules and sent them back minus their testicles. They had something to prove. Arizona game in 2009 wasn't nearly as big of a beat down.

Honestly, I don't see this one being that close. I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of 31-13.

Eh, Foles may be NFL bound. He's only a sophomore. But the rest of your points are valid. Also, our DL is lightyears ahead of the 2004 DL.

I keep seeing predictions of a shootout that ends 42-35 Iowa and stuff like that...we haven't given up 30 points in 32 games. It's not about to happen against Arizona. I like Iowa 35-10.

Biggest issue to overcome - the 101 degree heat, we can deal with the rest, but preparing for the heat is a tough one.

It should be closer to the mid-to-upper 80s by the time the game is underway. Either way, we had days in the 90s all throughout camp this summer. These boys are familiar with playing in the heat. I think Clayborn's quote was "If the Devil were here, I'd punch him in the mouth."
