I like the idea of 2 BCS conf games and 2 - should win games. Those games do help develop the team and can sometimes salvage a rebuilding or just so/so season.

Of the BCS schools I went Nebraska-I really wish we could get that corn state border war going for good.

Oklahoma- I thing that would be an intruguing game most seasons.

Georgia. A 4 year home and home vs a Georgia (which is most years simularly positioned in the SEC as Iowa) would be great for both programs.

Have you seen the non-conference schedules of Florida, Texas, and Alabama the past two seasons?

Give me a break, having a conference championship has nothing to do with it, and didn't keep OSU out of the national championship game 2 years in a row.

I'm not arguing with your logic. Those teams don't play anyone in the non conference schedule. I'm just stating the general opinion of most people out there. Most Big Ten teams are done playing before Thanksgiving. That gives teams from the SEC 2 more games to show off while the Big 10 team is done.

So when it comes down to a 1 loss team from the SEC (who has played 13 games) and a 1 loss team from the Big 10 (who has played 12 and hasn't played in almost a month), the SEC team is generally going to get ranked by the media ahead of the Big 10 team and that will help with BCS rankings

And it's also hard to say that what Florida, Alabama, and Texas are doing is wrong. They all have played for a National Championship in the last 2 seasons.

Our schedule is fine. When you schedule, according to Fry, you want

A team you know you can beat:
Eastern Illinois
Ball State
A team you think you should beat:
Iowa State
A team you are not sure you can beat:
Arizona

This schedule allows a decent start, while playing tough teams. Would anyone really want to play LSU, USC, and Nebraska, and trade a 3-1 or 4-0 start for possibly a 1-3 or 2-2 start? I'd take the wins any day.

I would like to see Iowa State taken off the schedule for eternity. I am sick of them lining their pockets with Iowa Fan Money. The game is pointless. Most of college footballdom hasn't a clue who Iowa State is and the occaisional time we lose to them makes us look really really bad..cause well...if you lose to Iowa State then you must be really really bad. I would like to see how they would pay their bills if Iowa was taken off their schedule.

Living in SEC country I vote for UT or UGA. Iowa has a good record against SEC teams in bowl games recently and I think it would be good exposure for the program. Not that it would move top recruits to bypass Alabama, UT, or Florida for UI...

I picked .

Florida - would play a one and one (home one year away the next) recruiting recruiting recruiting.

Miami- same as Florida ...can you say recruit.

Notre Lame - they get some big name guys from the midwest would love to spank them to seal some of the deals.

Quick Post the top 3 teams you would like to play in a non conference match up that are not currently on any future schedule:
Mine are:
1. Nebraska
2. Florida
3. Missouri

None of these top 3 likely to happen because of current bowl agreements or likelihood that we could meet them in a bowl, which could mean playing them twice in a year. Notre Dame not likely to happen because they already have ongoing series with several B10 teams and have said they do not wish to add another B10 team.

Well, I think its official...Nebraska is a wanted entity on the Schedule.

And Ben123456 is a huge vagina.

That is all.

I would love to play Nebraska in Arrow Head Stadium. How sweet would that be. But didn't we try to get Nebraska when Missouri backed out on us and they said no way? I could be wrong. Anyways Nebraska would be awesome and even better at Arrow Head.

Nebraska would be a real test
It'd be fun to shut Boise up, too
Notre Dame for an easy win / breather before Big Ten play

The Clear winner is Nebraska, follow by a clear 2nd with Notre Dammit. After that...it gets a bit tight.

Which is surprising...Nebraska isn't usually the Sexy pic when it come to scheduling...but the fans want what the fans want!

Nebraska and Notre Dame would probably be the 2 teams I would like to see the Hawks play at some point.

I also chose VA Tech as my 3rd team because Beamer and Ferentz run their programs in a similar manner (i.e., defense and special teams) and have had pretty similar success over the last decade.

Nebraska and ND top two for me. After that don't really care, but would prefer somewhere it would be fun to travel to the game for like Hawaii, Florida, Arizona, California even South Carolina or Boston
